Questions

Do I need the internet to bill?

No. The books are on your main PC and the counters reach it over the shop network. The internet is needed only for the licence check, at least once every 7 days.

What happens after 7 days without internet?

The app switches to educational mode: everything still opens, and new entries can be dated only the 1st, 2nd or 31st of a month. It switches back by itself as soon as the licence check succeeds.

How many PCs can I use?

As many as you like on the shop network. The licence sits on the main PC; counter PCs get it from there.

Can I move the licence to a new PC?

Yes. Surrender it on the old PC, or sign in on the new one and choose “Move the licence here”. The old PC switches to educational mode at its next check.

What if the main PC dies?

Install the app on a new PC, choose Restore books, pick a backup and type your recovery code. If you set up a standby PC, it already has every saved entry.

Does Nexvia keep a copy of my books?

Not unless you choose the online copy for a company. By default the books stay only on your main PC, encrypted, and Nexvia can’t open them.

Can staff see the owner’s Private Books?

No. Private Books don’t appear in staff menus, company lists, searches, reports or exports.

Can I keep sales out of my GST returns?

No. Estimates are allowed and clearly printed as estimates, but a GST-registered company’s own sales and stock can’t be hidden in another book. We don’t build that, for anyone.

Is it only for jewellers?

No. A normal company has no jewellery screens at all: entries, ledgers, statements, GST rates and Excel import, like a cleaner Tally.

Can I move my data from Tally?

Yes. Move in from other software (in Setup) reads Tally’s export files, a running Tally, or BUSY’s Excel lists: masters, opening balances or a year of entries, each checked against the old books’ own figures before anything is saved. Excel import of parties, items and opening balances works too.

Is there a phone app?

Coming soon, together with website access through Nexvia’s relay. Both come with every licence, at no extra cost.

Why does Windows warn me when I install?

The installer isn’t signed with a Windows certificate yet. The download page shows its SHA-256, so you can check the file is exactly Nexvia’s before you run it.
